Cole and her Boys

While we were at the beach, we had a couple of friends drive to meet us for vacation. My friend Melissa and I took these portraits of our other friend Cole, her husbad Nick, and their boys. It was so difficult to just choose a few because there are so many great shots, so I'll start with these. We had so much fun with you guys and miss you already!!

Vacation to North Carolina

We were gone for almost 2 weeks, met up with some great friends and had a blast..minus the roach motel, blown tires and missing nap time. I am so far behind on editing it is making my head spin, but I am slowly catching up. Here are a few of my babies from the first couple of days that we were there. I will post more as I go through them.

Pope John Paul the Great Catholic High School

I was so excited when I was called by JP Construction to photograph the new Catholic High School in the Arlington Archdiocese, Pope John Paul the Great Catholic High School. The school is truly breathtaking at every turn with immaculate attention to detail. Attending Catholic School my entire life, as well as having children that are lead in a faith based Catholic education, this is the most beautiful, state of the art school I have ever had the privilege to visit. It is near completion, and just a bit dusty from the final touches before the school year begins... but what a legacy in tradition it is ready to embark on. I know that Marine Corps will take us many more places, I hope we are lucky enough to find our way back to Virginia for the kids to attend this school.

The back of the school looking at the Chapel.

Second story inside view of the Chapel. The
woodwork is breath taking!

One of the many gorgeous lighting displays
adorning the halls.

Baby Alex

Oh My... how time flies. Baby Alex is turning 2!! He is the cutest little guy (and Tank's best friend!). He made me work for some smiles today, though. Happy almost birthday big guy! We'll miss you while we're on vacation.
