Posh Kids: Chunky Babies Rock

So I would be lying if I said I didn't fall in love with this little guy! He flirted his way through the session today and giggled and smiled and those big eyes melted my heart! His little rolls were too much! Seriously, I love baby rolls. There is something so cute about chunky babies, and baby G is a happy little guy that knew that the camera was all about him. He rocked it today and here is a little preview of our fun!!

Posh Style: [Love] Story Winners!

Sometimes you are in a moment and so caught up in it, you forget to breathe. that's how I felt today with Jesse and Maria.. the Posh [love] story winners! I watched them intently through my lens. The way their bodies gravitated toward one another, how aware they were of what the other was doing and the stolen looks of love and admiration meant only for the other. I was so caught up in their love and their laughter, that only as I am going through their session tonight does it fully hit me exactly how magical their love is.
They are two truly beautiful people.. inside and out and ridiculously Hott!! Here are a few of my favorites, but I have sooo many more that I love... Once I have the gallery ready, I might have to try my hand at a slideshow of their session.

Posh Kids: Boys, boys, boys...

When I found out I was pregnant with a boy after having 4 girls, I was terrified. Seriously?? Me?? a boy? I have 4 sisters and 1 brother and I always fancied myself a girls mom. All things sugar and spice...LOL Things have changed!! Tank is all boy and has taught me how to play trucks and Transformers and Ninja Turtles.. and embrace dirt and mud [ewwww]. Although I still love all things girlie and frilly and pink [yes pink!], I have embraced all the fun and wild and energetic ways of a boy!
Today's session with L and C remind me why I have learned to love all things rough and tumble. Their flirty ways and happy "catch me" taunts. I had a blast capturing their personalities and infectious smiles and couldn't have asked for a better start to the morning. Little L is only 3 months old and watched intently as we ran around and giggled the morning away. His big brother C, just turned 3 and was mr. personality. I always have a blast shooting a session for these cuties!! Their mom [Jaimie] owns Bows and Blanket Boutique http://www.bowsandblanketsboutique.com/ (the BEST Custom Gift Collections!!) and I love doing product shoots for her, but the kids are my favorite!! They are quite the little hams and I love their happy, fun personalities. They have started ballet/ tap and karate over the last year and were showing off some sweet moves today! Here are a couple of my favorites!

Posh Valentine Contest... WINNER!!!!

Jesse and Maria
He was a young United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal stationed in Spain. She was a beautiful Spanish girl out with her friends having fun. Their fate was decided the night they connected. They were instantly drawn to one another and became inseparable! They knew they needed the other to be whole. They spent the weekdays longing for each other and the weekends together praying that time would stand still.
One evening a few months later, he asked her to come with him outside in the rain so they could talk. He took her hand and led her outside, there he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. She immediately said yes!
Her family protested, his command protested and advised against it. The two of them were heart broken as he left Spain... alone. He had to leave her behind. They spent the next 3 months writing back and forth and calling when they could. Their love grew even with the distance between them. Finally, they couldn't stand the separation any longer. He asked her to come to him. Come spend her life with him. Maria knew that she would have to leave her family, her friends, her job, and everything that she loved to move to another country to be with the man that owned her heart. She risked it all and followed her true love.


I was amazed by the stories that were submitted for the Posh Valentine Contest. I laughed and cried as I read through the submissions. I had some help in determining the winner because I couldn't do it alone and I want to thank everyone that entered!!! This was so much fun that I am inspired to do a monthly contest. I will change it up month to month... but visit often to get the details and enter!!
Jesse and Maria- I cannot wait for our session!! Congrats to you and thank you for sharing your story (there was so much more to it than what I had space for).
I was also immensely touched by another story of God working miracles even in the midst of the darkest pain.. SOOOO.. I have decided to also award a mini session to ERIC and HEATHER!!!

Posh Kids: Happy 5th Birthday Logan!!!

Yesterday I should have known that I would be running through the woods, racing around and laughing like crazy. Mr. Logan is a [big] 5 year old now and it was time to get some shots to document his passage into full on crazy boyhood. He has a special place in my heart, as his mom is one of my dearest friends. He loves all things dirty and muddy and stick like and even showed off some of his fierce ninja moves. I just love his little smile.. it is contagious! Here's his birthday session preview.

Cole's St. Baldrick's Day event...amazing

Cole is: honest, genuine, fun and A_M_A_Z_I_N_G. Last year she told us that she was going to do the St Baldrick's Day event to raise money and awareness for Childhood Cancer Research. She has over 30 inches, yes 30 [!!!] inches of hair. She is shaving it ALL off!!!! ALL of it. Are you crazy?? We tried to talk her into a walk a thon, maybe a bake sale.. something [No, anything] else. In Cole's hard headed, super sassy [and nothing short of selfless] way.. She wasn't backing down. She is shaving all beautiful 30 inches off for a fantastic cause.

Changes are a comin...

Today was "Extreme Blog Makeover Day", so I am going with this one for a while. I am loving the rich reds and it makes me happy to have a new look. I am usually a creature of habit.. but a little change is good...sometimes.
I feel like I have so many work projects started and ideas to be finished, it is now time to get them done. Posh Couture is up and going. I am having a blast with the beautiful women that allow me into their lives to makeup them up- and glam them out. I finalized the details to the new Posh Seniors Collections and cannot wait for those! I know I am going on 2 months now of web redesign, but seriously.. I am sooooooo website illiterate. I am almost done though.. no really, I am. (project of next week to be completed). Oh, oh, Digital Downloads are coming!! I have been asked so often about purchasing the copyright of the session, that I am finally giving in and offering them in addition to the other Posh Services.

I am ssoooo excited! I ordered a new lens, and it is already here!! I was like a little kid when the UPS man showed up!! I think that he was a bit afraid I would maul him for my box, but I patiently waited until he was at my doorstep before I snatched it away. There are a few other things that I want.. NOW, but Erik keeps reminding me that I don't NEED them. Need Schmeed. I want em! So of course I snapped a few shots of 3 of my best 5 subjects :-). I couldn't wait to try it out. I am in ** l-o-v-e **.

Posh Couture...

Today's Posh Couture Session was with Shawnda. She is beautiful and a little shy and it was so easy. We laughed and joked and had a ton of fun. I know that I say constantly that I love what I do, and I am so blessed to do what I love.. and when it feels like you have spent the day with a friend.. makes it that much better.
Shawnda~ I am not even 1/4 of the way through editing.. but your shots are gorgeous! You were so nervous, and they are beyond what I hoped to capture! I can't wait to share them with you. I have a few more for you also, but I'll have your gallery soon. *Nicole
